The Environmental Research Institute (ERI) hosts conferences and supports educational collaborations with the Hudson Valley community. These venues serve to disseminate information about local and global concerns, promote the sharing of ideas, and are a vital component of a healthy research environment. To date, the ERI has hosted day-long conferences on local groundwater contamination problems as well as public forums on the health of the Casperkill. In addition, ERI members have presented to the Town of Poughkeepsie town board, at conferences organized by the Cornell Cooperative Extension Environment Program, and in the Center for Lifetime Studies.
